The most interesting choice of outfits for the show came from XPMsoftware where
all the booth staff was wearing the same Hawaiian-style shirts--something that implied a different
origin than Brampton, Ontario, just outside Toronto. XPMsoftware's focus is antispam software, an
element that although clearly present at the show this year, was not the overwhelming presence it
seemed to be at last year's show.

FindHelp.ca helps people find the community, social, health and government services they need, and
supports the work of human services professionals in meeting client needs.
PerfectMail was installed at Findhelp Information Services with great success. Staff immediately

CIPS E-mail
Forwarding: Business as Usual
During the week of July 4, 2005, some
Canadian Information Processing Society
members with a CIPS e-mail forwarding address were unable to receive or send e-mails.
In early August 2005, CIPS will be installing a SPAM filter on its mail server. CIPS hopes to reduce
SPAM and increase its response to member inquires. Thank you to CIPS member Larry Karnis I.S.P. for
volunteering time, expertise and the SPAM filter product, PerfectMail, for this initiative.
